Call for Artists Greater Lanexa Studio Tour 2018
2018 marks the 24th anniversary of the Greater Lanexa Studio Tour. The two-day event occurs on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28. The tour provides the public an opportunity to view unique art and make purchases from a group of local artists at Lanexa studios. With the increasing popularity of the tour, we would like to expand our studio locations and add new artists. If you are potentially interested in becoming a participating artist, please call the Tour Chair, Vicki Leonard, at (757) 880-1689 or contact her via email at email@example.com
The 2018 Greater Lanexa Studio Tour will be held on Saturday, October 27 from 10am – 4pm and Sunday, October 28 from 11am – 4pm. This year is the 25th presentation of the tour, and there are 15 artists demonstrating and selling their art in six studio locations. It is a free, self-guided tour, and an opportunity to see some excellent art right in your own back yard. Art lovers can expect to see displays of some of Virginia’s finest work including: metal sculpture, pastel drawing, wood turning, carving and furniture making, jewelry, glass, baskets, photography, and more. Come join us for two days of demonstrations and discussions with the artists and their particular media.

The tour was begun in 1994 by sculptor Richard Green and his wife Hilary, who lived on Colony Trail at the time. They had moved here from Canada where they were co-founders of another art tour in Bainbridge, Ontario. That tour continues to thrive, as does this one.
The tour strives to maintain a standard of excellence in the artists selected to participate, in order to keep the tour interesting. Several of our artists are widely known, and have won awards. Some display in galleries in Richmond, Williamsburg and on the Peninsula.
